Tropic Seafood has just received the highest rating in food safety for the eighth year in a row, with a grade of AA on the BRC and 100% on the Sysco Safety Audit. Additionally we have received 100% scores on Health and Safety Audits (social audits) from both Sysco and Costco for 2022. These recent accomplishments display how Tropic Seafood continues to lead the industry by example with an exemplary track record in food safety.
One of the newest topics during the recent BRC audit included “The culture of food safety.” Alex Henderson, Assistant Quality Assurance Manager defines the concept as “the intrinsic beliefs, behaviors, and outlook that everyone in a company has on food safety.” Tropic Seafood has a detailed plan on how to continue improvement in accountability, commitment, and contribution to food safety within the company.
